Service Description
Provides transitional housing for domestic violence victims. Includes individualized advocacy and support. Advocates are not lawyers, but are experienced in filing paperwork for motions such as divorce and protection orders. Educates clients by offering classes on boundaries and domestic violence victimization. Support groups, life skills trainings, and parenting programs are also offered. Also provides legal advocacy. Maximum length of stay is 18 months. Provides an on-site Guardian Ad Litem for supervised visits if the abuser has custody of the children, or if it is necessary for visitation when a third party has custody. Is a provider of the Address Confidentiality Program, where abused women can get undisclosed mailing addresses that can be used when home, work or school addresses are required, and forwards all first class mail sent to the substitute address to the individual's new residence.

Eligibility
Female domestic violence victims without children in their custody. Applicants interested in the classes, advocacy, or support groups do not need to be staying at the transitional house to receive assistance.
