Service Description

Coordinates free income tax assistance programs from February 1 through April 15 each year. Service available to people of all ages who are middle- and low- income. Pays special attention to the frail/elderly and to the disabled. IRS trained and certified volunteers prepare tax returns and answer tax questions. Not able to prepare business taxes, returns that include the sale of property or stock, returns that include rental proceeds or returns that include moving expenses. Limited assistance is available to homebound taxpayers. Some printed materials are available in Spanish.
