Service Description
Provides information and referral over the phone, in person and in writing regarding services for older adults, including nursing homes, retirement homes and adult day care resources. Assists individuals with securing essential health and social services. Screens for the Aging and Disability Services discretionary case management and respite programs. Interpreter services are based on current staffing and availability. Use of the language line is available.
Washington State Dental Outreach Program: Offers a 25 percent fee reduction for seniors needing dental services. Over 400 dentists in King County participate in this program, co-sponsored by Washington State Dental Association and Seattle/King County Dental Society.
Income Tax Assistance: Provides information on locations of tax assistance sites and programs which will send income tax assistance volunteers to the homes of homebound seniors or people with disabilities. Program begins in February.
Publications: Distributes "Passport," a monthly newsletter that informs seniors and service providers about community resources and upcoming events in Seattle/King County. Resource directories are also available by subscription.

Eligibility
Telephone services are for all seniors, caregivers and the general public. The dental fee reduction program is for people with incomes less than $24,500 and no dental insurance.
