Service Description

Provides financial aid for tuition and books for up to two years of approved course work at accredited schools in the state of Washington. The assistance may be used for GED completion, technical training, vocational training, or degree programs (associate or bachelor). Payments are made directly to the school or bookstore; no cash disbursements are made to students. Assists between 30 and 50 women during each funding cycle. The grant can cover up to $5,000 in costs for tuition and books per year for up to two years.

Eligibility

Low-income women, ages 18 and older. No restrictions regarding marital or family status. Eligibility is determined on a case by case basis. Students whose tuition is fully covered by other grants and scholarships are not eligible for funding.
