Helps to establish and/or maintain stable and affordable housing for those clients receiving Medical Care Services (MCS).
Funding allows the client to receive rent and utility assistance for the duration of eligibility as determined by the DSHS BVS print-out.
A client may receive essential needs, and eligibility is based upon receiving medical assistance through DSHS, as verified by BVS and is based on need.
Essential Needs will be goods only, no cash or vouchers will be provided. Accept referrals from DSHS, or walk-in with Medical Care Services (MCS) documentation
Days of the Week
Applicants must be deemed eligible through the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), must qualify as homeless or at-risk of homelessness and meet income guidelines set by DSHS.
Applicants can not be receiving cash from any other government program (SSI, SSDI, ABD, TANF, unemployment, etc.).
Criteria to qualify as a being at substantial risk of homelessness may include having:
- Pay or vacate notice
- Eviction notice
- Utility shut-off notice
- Late payment notice
- Certification of potential eviction
- Certification of rental obligation
