Service Details

Service Description

Provides 100 shelter beds for men at two adjacent locations in downtown Seattle.
During severe weather, one shelter expands to include 50 additional shelter beds.
No meal, hygiene or daytime storage services are provided.
Shelter is operated by staff from the Salvation Army's NW William Booth Center.

Men ages 18 and older in need of shelter.
Serves trans* clients identifying as male; notify staff of accommodations needed.
Serves men fleeing DV, but location is not confidential; this should be taken into account if safety is a concern.
Clients must not exhibit behavior dangerous to self or others; individuals on the shelter's admonish list may not be served.
Service animals and pets are allowed.

Application Instructions

Visit in person. Intake begins at 7pm at the King County Administration Building at 4th & Jefferson, across from City Hall Park. Line forms in front of the loading dock garage door.
Men begin lining up before 7pm; a single intake line is formed for the two adjacent shelter sites.
Access to shelter after nightly intake is limited; remaining spaces are primarily filled through Operation Night Watch referrals.
