Service Description

Program that serves students and their families in temporary living situations, by removing barriers to education.
This includes:
- education regarding the McKinney-Vento Act,
- advocacy,
- assistance with enrollment,
- transportation,
- and providing school supplies and other needed items.

Eligibility

Includes students who are:
- in transitional housing,
- homeless,
- students enrolled in the Tacoma School District w/o parents or guardians, and meet the criteria of the McKinney-Vento Act (lack a fixed, regular, adequate nighttime residence).
